About

A survivor, a work in progress, with hopes, dreams, flaws and heart.

Planning With Catherine Elizabeth is a personal space — not a company, not a clinic.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Catherine Elizabeth.

I am the creator and founder of Planning With Catherine Elizabeth. I am from Brooklyn, New York. I am a content creator who does content on planning, journaling and mental health as well as personal stories.

A little about me

Short bio.

Catherine is a dog mom to Yorkshire Terrier Gracie, who turned 12 on September 6. She is a NASCAR fan, with favorite driver #48/#84 Jimmie Johnson, and a lover of 70s/80s music, with Rick Springfield as a favorite artist.

She is a childhood trauma survivor, specifically of sexual abuse, with her earliest memory at age 4. She is passionate about mental health and helping people who feel alone or don't have a voice.

Her story

Healing over hiding.

Catherine is a childhood trauma survivor/sex abuse survivor. She chose healing over hiding. Her past shaped her but does not define her. She is learning peace, love and life beyond survival.

She carries scars from childhood, but her story is about helping others. She grew learning how to survive before she ever learned to be a child. After 56 years, she is learning that she deserves peace, love and life.

Her message is that childhood trauma shaped her story but it does not get to write her ending. She is healing, growing and breaking the cycle.

In her words

More than my past.

Catherine wants to introduce herself as a childhood sex abuse survivor who is passionate about mental health and the wellbeing of others. She has been through things that changed her but did not break her.

She is using her voice and embracing her story. She is more than her past: a survivor, a work in progress, with hopes, dreams, flaws and heart.

Inspiration

How this began.

Planning With Catherine Elizabeth started as a simple Instagram page for planning, planning supplies and journaling. It grew into planning, journaling, everyday life and mental health.

What I want you to understand

Being strong does not mean it never hurts.

Catherine wants people to understand that she is more than what she has been through. Trauma shaped parts of her but does not define her. She carried pain that a child should not have had to carry.

She is still learning to heal, trust and believe. Reactions can come from unseen wounds. Being strong does not mean it never hurts.

“I'm a survivor not a victim.”
